Mission ~ Community Service ~ ScholArship



The Galveston Community Tennis Association, established in 2015, has partnered with USTA CTA in March 2020 registered as a CTA with a focus on community. Founded by Josephine Sullivan, the group’s goal is to provide a safe place where all people can play tennis, regardless of skill, ability, gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. GCTA promotes tennis throughout Galveston and Galveston County in partnership with the United States Tennis Association and the City of Galveston Parks & Recreation. 


 MISSION


The mission is to provide a safe place where all people can play tennis, regardless of skill, ability, gender, race, religion, 

ethnicity, or sexual orientation. 

GCTA promotes tennis through outGalveston & Galveston County, including Dickinson, Santa Fe, Jamaica Beach, Kemah, LaMarque,  Hitchcock, San Leon, Bacliff, Bolivar Peninsula, Tiki Island, Clear Lake Shores, Bayou Vista and Algoa


COMMUNITY SERVICE


Galveston Community Tennis Association is a program by and through the Christina Sullivan Foundation, a 501c3 public charity. Many of the members also provide friendships as “Buddy” Volunteers and Volunteer Coaches for the Christina Sullivan Foundations Special Olympics Adaptive and Unified Programs in Galveston and Galveston County.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
